An Error in Hyrule Historia?!?! *GASP*

I'M FREAKING OUT, MAN.  THERE IS AN ERROR IN HYRULE HISTORIA. IT'S SUPPOSED TO BE PERFECT!  XD

And it's more than a typo.  It's an error with a picture.

When they were illustrating the six sages of Ocarina of Time with their medallions, basically, they reversed two medallions.

Look here:

(Sorry for the bad lighting& camera angle, it was taken from my laptop's camera)

BUT SEE???  Darunia is next to the Spirit Medallion and Nabooru is next to the Fire!  D:

See these:

And now look again:

I took this one from my phone!  :/

IT'S JUST... not... right...

... *Phew*  Okay, now that I'm done with that rant, I'll get on to saying: it's really not that bad of a mistake.  It would be worse if they said Nabooru was the fire sage in the paragraph above (which they don't).  They get the text right, just not the picture.  What's a little disappointing is that they had this error in the Japanese version, too, which came out quite a while ago.  They couldn't even manage to fix this for the English version?  I mean, I know they were trying to keep it as original to the Japanese version as possible, but they couldn't even fix a mistake?

But seriously, that's really not too bad.  I probably seem quite bipolar right now...  But other than that mistake, the book has been great so far.  No other flaws.   (I say so far because I'm only a third of the way through it.  And I've read for about 3 hours now.)  EDIT: Turns out there is another mistake, which can be found here.  Also, we've seen this before with Zelda; look at the back of the box of Ocarina of Time:

See the white bullet points?  Look at the first one, on the first line.  It says "enivironments" instead of "environments".  (enivironments)

So yeah.  My point is, it's not that big of a deal, despite what my original rant may have implied.

Anyway, Hyrule Historia's really good.  I'm enjoying it a lot, so don't let this stop you from getting it.  (Like it would.)

BTW, if you want to see for yourself, that's on page 89.  I hope you enjoy the book too, if you already have it.  If not, then good luck getting it soon!  You'll be pleased when you do.

That's all for now.  Bye!  :)

HYRULE HISTORIA CAME TODAY!!!

WOOOOWWW!!!

It was supposed to arrive tomorrow!  And it came today!  I'M HAPPY!

So, anyway, I've glanced through it a little, and sadly, it's a little disappointing.  :(

...

JUST KIDDING!!!  It's freaking awesome!

(Just saying now, I won't reveal any spoilers in this post.  Unless you consider a summary of each section a spoiler.  In that case, stay away!!!  But don't worry, I don't spoil it.  I really can't, there's way too much, and it's really hard to put into words.)

I haven't read much yet, as I was saving that to do in this post.  But so far, from what I've looked over, it's really really really really really really really really really really really really really really awesome.  Also, it's much bigger than I expected, which is even more epic!

So, in this post, I will be going through the book not very thoroughly, since it's so long.  I'll just cover the basics of each section.  Trust me, this post will be long enough.  XD

So, to start out, it has an epic cover.  I didn't get the limited edition, so its a green cover, but it still has the awesome design and the words "The Legend of ZELDA" and "Hyrule Historia" in shiny gold letters, so I like it.

I open it up and there's a faint blotted-looking painting of the silhouettes of Hylia and the 3 tribes in Skyward Sword.  Next page is black with the master sword and Hylian shield in the middle.  (That's right, I just added "Hylian" to Blogger's dictionary!)  Next, it has that boring stuff like copyrights.  And then we get to the introduction with some pictures of Shigeru Miyamoto.  (I'll call him Shiggy from now on, no disrespect.  :P)  He talks about how he thought up the game, and how it all got started.  My favorite line is, "Link's adventures will go on as long as you continue to love his world."  So keep playing Zelda!!!

Next it has a bunch of art from Skyward Sword, with the designs of characters, places, and some items.  It shows the original designs of pretty much EVERYONE in Skyloft, along with a few unused characters, which I find pretty cool.  And then it goes on with the designs of just about every character, every enemy, every place and dungeon, every boss, every EVERYTHING.  Now, I'll HAVE to read this later.  Awww, it shows the designs of some Kikwis!  Wow, there were going to be a lot of different types, but were all unused.  Haha, wow, it describes one of then as a combination between a porcupine and a chia pet.  I find that funny.  So yeah, it describes, like, EVERYTHING in Skyward Sword for a good 50 pages.

Next, we have the chronology of Hyrule.  First, it shows the timeline, that practically everyone's seen, and then it describes every single event on the timeline, and even the events in between those events, for a lot of pages.  Wow, this is awesome.  It goes on to every last single game, describes the events in them, and has a bunch of characters and stuff.  Epic.  It has about 5 pages for every single game, with LOTS of stuff in between.

Now, in the next section, we have "Creative Footprints: Documenting 25 Years of Artwork".  ...And wow.  There is a LOT of stuff.  I mean, I'm not even going to try to explain how much stuff there is.  You'll just have to see for yourself.  Oh, and finally, more information on the light spirits!  And... UUGGGGHHHH.  I think I just died on the inside.  There's TINGLE.  A whole page on him.  *skips*  Nah, just kidding, I'll come back later.  (If I can force myself to.  XD)

And then we have changes in character design, which I covered here.  However, it looks WAAYYY different here than Glitterberri's translation.  That was good and all, but it just doesn't compare to this.  And then we have a game catalog.  And then "Wrapping Things Up" with Eiji Aonuma.

And ERMAHGERD THERE'S MANGA.  Actually, I already knew that.  But still, it's awesome.  It's Zelda manga, who wouldn't like it?  (BTW, it's Skyward Sword related.)  OK, I'm gonna read this like 5 times every day until the rest of my life.

Well, that's it, everybody.  Hope you enjoyed!  Now, I've got to go and READ THIS STUFF.  (Oh, darn, I have to study for a history test.  OH WELL, THAT WILL HAVE TO WAIT.  THIS IS MORE IMPORTANT BUSINESS.)

OK, bye.  I'll be reading Hyrule Historia.

Waiting...

I'm waiting...

And it's raining...

And I'm waiting...

Hyrule Historia IS HERE!!!

LOLZ

...

Sorry, I had to.  :P  I'M JUST REALLY EXCITED!

Today is a special day for many gamers alike.  Not only does Hyrule Historia come out, but a new Black Ops 2 DLC comes out, too!!!  (Like I care.)

I know this because today at school, some dudes were like, "Hey, did you know, today a new Black Ops 2 map pack comes out!"  And I was all like "Whatever!  Hyrule Historia's out!"  (Of course, they didn't hear me.  :P)

Also, a new Assassin's Creed 3 DLC comes out, too!!!  I know this because today at school, some people were all like, "Hey, some new DLC comes out for AC3 today!"  And I was like "Whatever!  Hyrule Historia's out!"  (Of course, they didn't hear me, either.  :D)

So ya.  It's out.  And today, I checked my order shipping on Amazon.com, and its estimated delivery date is THURSDAY!!!  Tomorrow, I can say, "YEAH!  It'll be here tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

But yeah.  It needs to hurry up.  CUZ I'M READDDDDDYYYYYYYYY.

SOOO BORRRREEEDDDDDDD

But it's almost here!

And I'm excited!

...

I've run out of stuff to say...

So I'll start making up words!!!

dffakdsjfkdsjfkdsfdksfhdksjfkdsfjlksdfgsdlkgsldfjdslfjkldsfjkldsjflsdjflsa

OK I'm done.

When it FINALLY arrives, I'm gonna make a post and I'll write as I look through it.  So you can share my experience with me!  :D

But that'll be when it arrives.  FINALLY.  Which is a whole TWO DAYS from now.  Or even more, if I'm unlucky.  But hopefully two days.  That's still long enough.

Well, bye.  See you then!

Hyrule Historia - The Design of Ganon

Well, here we are.  Less than a day away from release date.  It's almost here.  (Unless you live in Australia, where it's been out... lucky.)  Anyway, this will be my final pre-release article on Hyrule Hisoria (obviously), and this time it will be about the changing design of Ganon/Ganondorf.  Now, in Glitterberri's translation, there are only 4 designs of Ganon.  I'm not sure if this is how it actually is in H.H., but we'll see soon, anyway.

OoT Ganon

Ocarina of Time (1998)
First, we'll start with Ganon (beast form) and Ganondorf (human form) from Ocarina of Time.  This was the very first time the human image of Ganondorf was used, and it will reappear later in Wind Waker and Twilight Princess (remind me if I missed one).

OoX Ganon

Oracle of Seasons/Ages (2001)
Here, beast Ganon returns.  He looks very similar to the original Ganon in The Legend of Zelda.

TWW Ganon

Wind Waker (2002)
Here, a much larger variation of human Ganondorf returns, in a toon-like state (just like most everything in the Wind Waker).  He appears to be jeering at Link.

TP Ganon

Twilight Princess (2006)
Human Ganondorf alongside beast Ganon, like Ocarina of Time.  Ganondorf wields a sword in the artwork for the first time.  Compared to Ocarina's Ganon, this beast Ganon looks much more like a hog.  His horns have become tusks, he has dropped to all fours, and his chest is now a huge barrel-shape, instead of a more humanoid torso.

Those are the forms of Ganon(dorf) in Hyrule Historia.  It is likely that there will be a reason for the Ganons in The Legend of Zelda and A Link to the Past missing that will be explained in the book.  We'll just have to wait a few more days to find out.  The thing I'm disappointed about is that I will have to wait a few days for Hyrule Historia to come in the mail.  Based on my past experience with UPS, I hope it will come by Friday, but I may be wrong.  The sooner the better, though.

Farewell for now.  Chances are you are reading this tomorrow or later, when Hyrule Historia is already out.  I'll probably have another post tomorrow, also.  We'll see.

...Bye.  :)

Wind Waker in HD!?!?!?!?

Wow.  This is a totally unexpected post for me, too, but I just found out from Nintendo Direct that they are re-releasing Wind Waker for Wii U this fall!  And it's not just better quality graphics, but they've totally redone the graphics, with new textures and EVERYTHING!!!!!  (Kind of like OoT vs. OoT 3D).  I am really excited about this!  It's too bad that I'll have to buy it again, since I already have Wind Waker.  I just hope it doesn't cost too much, as I already have a list of about 10 games that I want for Wii U, that they also just announced at Nintendo Direct.

If you haven't seen it yet, you can check out the entire video here:
(It's about 35 minutes long.)

http://www.nintendo.com/nintendo-direct/archive/01-23-2013/

If you just want to see the part about Zelda, go here:

http://www.zeldadungeon.net/2013/01/the-wind-waker-hd-releases-this-autum-for-wii-u/#more-59313

(The video's at the bottom of the page.)

Anyway, that's what's happening with Zelda this year!  Eiji Aonuma also stated that for Zelda Wii U, they are going to "rethink the conventions of Zelda".  In the video, it talked about rethinking the concepts of "playing alone", and "completing dungeons in a certain order".  This may mean that there will be a multiplayer aspect in the next Zelda game, and also that it may be less linear.  I hope that they don't totally get rid of the order of dungeons, but maybe do something like in Ocarina of Time and Wind Waker, where two of the dungeons are reversable (Shadow Temple and Spirit Temple are switchable in OoT, and Earth Temple and Wind Temple are switchable in WW).  As for the multiplayer aspect, I really hope they don't overdo it.  Like, I'm fine with a little bit of social interaction, like maybe leaving comments with each other, but not full out multiplayer, where you are actually battling a boss with another person.  I kind of like the whole idea where the hero is alone.  And that's all the Zelda news.  As for other games, they've also announced a new Mario Kart (used to be my favorite series, before I knew about Zelda), a new Super Smash Bros. (Yay, Link!) Pikmin 3 (which we already knew about.  I've never tried Pikmin, but I might just pick this one up when it comes out.), a new game featuring Yoshi (it looks a lot like Kirby: Epic Yarn), and games called Wonderful 101 and Bayonetta 2, both which I've never heard of.

On a darker note, this morning the company THQ officially went out of business.  They are no more.  Perhaps you've heard of them.  They've made Darksiders, Puss in Boots, Company of Heroes (the highest rated strategy game of all time), and some others.  I'll be most sad to see Darksiders to go, as it is a lot like Zelda.  However, there is still some hope, as they are selling some of their divisions to other game companies.  Vigil Games made Darksiders, but it hasn't been sold yet, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed.  I will be disappointed if they don't make a Darksiders 3.

Anyway, that's all for today.  I can't wait for Hyrule Historia, Wind Waker, and yes, Zelda Wii U, even though it is a LONG way off.

See you sometime later this week.  Bye!  :D

One more week!

It's officially here!!!  Well... almost.  One week left, guys!  I remember back in 2012, around September, I found out they were releasing Hyrule Historia in the U.S.  I thought, "Ugh, that's so long away.  I wonder if I should get it..."  Well, here we are now.  I've preordered mine, how about you?  Are you excited for Hyrule Historia?  I am!  Sadly, it will come in the mail, so I won't get it on release date.  Hey, at least I'm getting it!  I got the normal edition, not the limited.  I personally like the green cover more, and while the golden pages seemed nice, I don't think it's worth twice the money.  (Was it twice?  Can't remember.  It was definitely a good bit more.)  Anyway, I'm happy with the standard edition.  I'll probably do one more post on the content in Hyrule Historia before it comes out, so stay tuned.

Well, I'm certainly excited, but how about you?  Are you getting it?  Standard/limited?  Tell me in the comments!

Till next time.  ;)

Hyrule Historia - The Designs of Link and Zelda Part II

I told you.  Actually, I'm even a day early.  But I told you I'd post.

Anyway, I'm here to finish up my last post that I never really finished.  If you haven't read that, you should now.  So yeah, I'll be covering Zelda's look and how it's changed over the years.

We'll start from the beginning, like we did Link.

LoZ Zelda
The Legend of Zelda (1986) and Adventure of Link (1987)
She has brown hair here.  Her dress is also very simple, as is her face.

ALttP Zelda
A Link to the Past (1991)
Here, her hair turns blonde, which it will stay.  Her dress is also more complicated.

OoT Zelda
Ocarina of Time (1998)
And... Sheik should also be in here.  But (s)he's not.  So sorry.

OoX Zelda
Oracle of Seasons and Oracle of Ages (2001)
She looks a bit younger here.

TWW Zelda
Wind Waker (2002)
Here's Toon Zelda.  Also Toon Tetra, which is the only form of Tetra.  I found it a little strange when they introduced the whole concept of Tetra being Zelda and stuff... especially because in Ocarina of Time, Shiek knew that he was actually Zelda and was the same person.  Here, however, Tetra's all like:   "Who's Zelda?  Not me."  But Tetra, you're wrong.  So shut 'cho face.  XD

FS Zelda
Four Swords/Adventures (2002-2004)
Here she looks a little bit more... formal-ish.  I guess.  I can't really describe it.  Just a little more formal-ish.

TMC Zelda
Minish Cap (2004)
She's back, and exactly the same as in Wind Waker.  At least the art is.

TP Zelda
Twilight Princess (2006)
Realistic Zelda.  And she's carrying a sword.  Which doesn't look like it would be much use against Ganon.  Maybe she's using it to look tough.  Which she doesn't, really.  Okay, maybe just a little.  But not much.

PH Zelda
Phantom Hourglass (2007)
Ew.  Same graphics, same art, same person, different expression.  Just ew.

ST Zelda
Spirit Tracks (2009)
She's back, and she looks exactly the same as in Minish Cap and Wind Waker.  Except for the fact that she's a ghost 90% of the time.  But that's just, you know, a minor detail.

SS Zelda
Skyward Sword (2011)
Here she looks sad.  Because she's saying, "Ow.  The wind's blowing in my face.  That makes me sad."  OK, sorry for ruining a good piece of art.  My fault.

Zelda Wii U (2014)
Sorry.  But I had to.  I just HAD to.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA(so much suspense) AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAND we're done.

That's all for now.  Thanks for reading, if you read this, which you obviously did.  Thanks for supporting my blog!  Even though you all don't leave comments and stuff (except baileygirl99), I know you're reading this because of my pageviews.  Not a lot, but still pretty good.  So thanks for supporting me behind the scenes.  Stay tuned.  :)

Hyrule Historia - The Designs of Link and Zelda

Hey guys.  Heh... been a while since I've posted.  Sorry, I've been WAY too busy with school work.  Luckily, this coming weekend is a long one!  Yeah!... one day off..... Oh well, it's better than nothing.

Anyway, today I will be getting into the designs and concept art of Link and Zelda, our favorite protagonist and... um... princess-y... semi-tagonist?  Just ignore that.  I never said that.  So yeah, I will be going over their designs, and how they've changed over the years.

Just in case you haven't been here yet, there's a full translation of Hyrule Historia here:

http://www.glitterberri.com/hyrule-historia/

First, we start out with the original Link:

LoZ Link

Link from The Legend of Zelda (1986)
The Link that started it all.

AoL Link

Link from Link's Adventure (1987)
His face looks a bit... scrunchy.

ALttP Link

A Link to the Past (1991)
This was the first time the famous "triforce and bird" design was added to Link's shield.

LA Link

Link's Awakening (1993)
Link looks younger, happier, and maybe a bit more cartoon-ish here.

OoT Child Link

OoT Adult Link

Ocarina of Time (1998)
Young Link and Old Link here.  The concept art here is more realistic.  This is where that modern "Link look" starts, as he has a different looking face than in previous games.  His hair is also a bit less wild.

MM Link

Majora's Mask (2000)
In the game, Link looks pretty much the same as Ocarina of Time.  In the concept art, however, his face bears some sort of creepy, almost possessed look.

OoX Link

Oracle of Seasons and Oracle of Ages (2001)
His hair gets longer again, and his face is sort of a mix between the original Link face and the OoT/MM
face.

TWW Link

Wind Waker (2002)
Toon Link makes his first appearance!

FSA Link

Four Swords/Adventures (2002/2004)
Toon Link is back.

TMC Link

Minish Cap (2004)
...Aaand he's back.

TP Link

Twilight Princess (2006)
...Aaand he's b-- WOAH!  Didn't see that coming.  Here Link looks very realistic, except for the fact that his hat is blowing one way and his hair the other.

(What?  That was a bad joke?  It wasn't even a joke at all?  But...

PH Link

Phantom Hourglass (2007)
And he's back.  Well, sort of.  As a sequel to Wind Waker, which came out 5 years back, in-game Link looks pretty much the same.  However, the concept art looks a little more 3D and a little less paper-ish.

ST Link

Spirit Tracks (2009)
Here, Link looks the same as Phantom Hourglass.  (Same platform, same graphics, some of the same gameplay - but 100 years later.)

SS Link

Skyward Sword (2011)
Lastly, we have SS Link.  In the concept art, he looks kind of like Twilight Princess Link.  However, in the game, he looks a little more cartoony.

"Zelda Wii U" (2014?)
And as a bonus, we have Link from The Legend of Zelda: -------------------.  Okay, he's not in Hyrule Historia, but I just felt like I should include him.  After all, he looks pretty cool, even though they've already confirmed that the graphics will not look like this.  Let's just hope they look even better.

And... sorry, guys, but I'm gonna have to cut it short.  I just ran out of time for Zelda.  She's gonna have to wait.  BUT: I'll make a promise to you now.  I will finish this post no later than this Saturday.  If you're impatient, then you can go ahead and find these pictures yourself, but that would kind of ruin the point of reading my article later.

Remember, I keep my promises.

So long for now.  See you sometime before Saturday night.  :)

Hyrule Historia Timeline - The Three Splits

Okay, in case you're confused about the split timeline in the Zelda timeline, I'm here to help.  One of the main features of Hyrule Historia is the timeline.  In H.H., they go in-depth about what happens between/durin the games in the timeline.  I won't be doing that.  I'll just be going over the split.  If you didn't know, there is a split in the timeline towards the beginning that happens in Ocarina of Time.  You can check out the entire timeline here.

You might want to zoom in.

Anyway, the games leading up to the split are:

  1. Skyward Sword
  2. Minish Cap
  3. Four Swords
  4. Ocarina of Time
The split occurs within/after Ocarina of time.  This is where we will start.

To break it up, there are three timelines after Ocarina:
  • The Child Timeline
  • The Adult Timeline
  • The Downfall Timeline
We'll start with the Child Timeline.
This timeline is the one that Zelda sends Link back in time to after defeating Ganon, hence the name "Child Timeline" (he is a child).  Ganon is never defeated in this timeline, as he never rose to power.  Directly after this (with maybe a few months in between) is Majora's Mask.  Later comes Twilight Princess, then Four Swords Adventures.

Next is the Adult Timeline.
This is the timeline in which Link defeats Ganon, and then leaves this timeline.  It is virtually impossible for the other Links in this timeline to be directly related to Ocarina's Link, since he leaves this timeline.  (Unless Zelda is the mother/grandmother and Link is the father/grandfather, but this isn't true as they have already said that Wind Waker Link isn't related by blood.)  So, as I just said, Wind Waker comes next.  Phantom Hourglass is the direct sequel, and Spirit Tracks is 100 years later.

Finally, we have the Downfall Timeline, probably the most confusing and unforeseen of them all.
This timeline occurs IF Link fails to defeat Ganon.  This doesn't happen if you complete the game, though, so that's why it's pretty confusing.  Most people think Link dies fighting Ganon, but I like to think that he just never fights the battle in the first place.  Let me explain:
Link defeats Ganondorf, the human form.  Zelda and Link then struggle to escape the collapsing castle. When they reach the bottom, like they do in the game, Zelda sends Link back.  This time, she sends him back BEFORE Ganon (pig form) even springs up, since they thought he was dead.  After Link leaves, Ganon then conquers Hyrule, leading to A Link to the Past, Oracle of Seasons & Oracle of Ages, Link's Awakening, The Legend of Zelda, and Adventure of Link.  This ALSO explains why Ganon is ALWAYS his pig-looking form in the games following this branch of Ocarina of Time.  In ALttP, Ganon is pig-form.  In Link's Awakening, one of the forms of the Nightmare is Ganon form, and this is pig-Ganon form.  In LoZ, Ganon is pig-form.  In AoL, while Ganon is never seen in person, he is in the game, as his followers (some enemies) are "sent to kill you".  Also, when you die, it says "RETURN OF GANON", with PIG-GANON'S SILHOUETTE IN THE BACKGROUND.

Amiright?  Makes sense to me.  Anyway, that's just my theory on the Downfall Timeline.

So, to conclude, those are the--

Wait, this isn't an English paper.  I don't need a conclusion.

Alright, bye.  I've got to go do homework now.  :'(

Seeya.  :D

Ugh.

Someone needs to help me.  I can't comment on Zeldadungeon.  When I try, it says "There was internal server error while processing your request".  I tried signing out and commenting, but it didn't work.  I can comment on any other site, but not ZD.  Also, other people can comment on ZD, but not me.  And it's been going on for 3 days now.  So yeah... Just wanted to know if anyone's had a similar problem.

EDIT:

NEVERMIND IT FINALLY FIXED!!!!!  :D

EDIT:

Now it's back again.  Wow.

EDIT:

...aaaaand it's fixed again.  Just ignore this entire post.  It'll probably stop glitching out eventually.

School.

Ugh.  Today's my last day of winter break.  Then I go back to school, and I will be busy with homework, swim team, band, guitar, boy scouts, etc.  So my point is that I probably won't be able to be as active on this blog as I have been in the past week.  Sorry.  My next break isn't until Easter.  It's hard to tell right now how busy I'll be, but as an estimate, I think I'll probably be able to post somewhere around once or twice a week.  But as I said, that can change.

Also, why do I get a feeling that no one is reading this other than baileygirl99?  :-/

Stuff.

Nothing Zelda related, but I spent my afternoon/evening playing New Super Mario Bros. U, Okami, and Darksiders 2.  Fun.  :P

Wii U: Deluxe vs. Standard

In case you didn't know, I got a Wii U for Christmas.  If you're thinking of getting one, I recommend the deluxe version.  Here's why:

I took time to add up the cost of buying all the things separately and getting the standard version, versus buying the deluxe to start out with.  The deluxe Wii U is about 50 U.S. dollars more, but I think it's worth it.  With the deluxe Wii U, you get:

  • 4 times the memory (32G instead of 8G)
  • Nintendoland, which is awesome.
  • A charging stand (meh, might as well put it in here)
  • And... it's black.  Which I think looks cooler.  :P

Now, if you bought the standard Wii U and then bought JUST Nintendoland, you would still be losing money.  Nintendoland itself costs 60 dollars, and the deluxe Wii U is just 50 more.  Plus, you also get extra memory, and all the other stuff.  Even if you just got Nintendoland with the deluxe, you'd still be saving money.  So that's what I recommend.  If you're getting a Wii U at all.

Btw, if you have one, my Nintendo Network ID is baconstrip39.   :P

Hyrule Historia - Art

Now, I might as well start off by saying: Most of you have PROBABLY already seen this.  But for those of you who haven't, this is for you.

Hyrule Historia has already been translated 100% by someone known as GlitterBerri, but as I've already said, I'm resisting the urge to look at it, as I want to wait for the book.  However, I have looked at some of the art, and it looks amazing.  You can find the full translation here:

http://www.glitterberri.com/hyrule-historia/

I'm gonna go over some of the art now, so here I go.

*NOTE:  I do not own any of this material.  All artwork belongs to Nintendo.

This is the original concept art for Link in Twilight Princess.

This was the sketch for Ganondorf's "Ganon form" in Ocarina of Time.

This is the design for Bellum from Phantom Hourglass.

This was the original concept art for Faron Woods in Skyward Sword.  They obviously changed a lot for the actual game, adding glowing mushrooms and making it overall more cheerful.

Here is the final design for Demise's 3rd form in Skyward Sword.

Let it be known that there is MUCH more art in the book, and the rest can be seen in the link above, but this is all that I have time for right now.  I think it's pretty interesting to see the designs that they drew before they even made the game.  See you next time, and don't forget to follow this site!

Alright, that's all for now.  Bye!  :)

Quick question...

How many people out there are reading this?  I don't think many... But if you are, could you please leave a comment below (you can do it as "anonymous") to let me know that someone is reading this?  Because I think it is a little pointless (lol) if I'm blogging when no one's reading it, but I'll keep doing it anyway.  So, just a quick favor, please leave a comment below so I can know if I really DO have any audience.  (Doubt it.)  Or not, if you don't want to... XD   Okay, that's all for today.  See ya next time!

Less than a month until Hyrule Historia!

Well, it just keeps getting closer and closer.  What does?  The English version of Hyrule Historia, of course!  I got a preorder for Christmas, and now it's only 28 days away!  I have been trying not to look at the pre-translated versions online, because I want to experience it for the first time when I get the book.  I have, however, looked at the manga in it, and it looks pretty awesome!  This is probably the only thing that will get me through school this month, since I have something to look forward to.  (Yeah, I have to go back on the 8th.)  The next month it is the 7th season of Psych (TV show), which if you don't watch, you should.  Next month- school trip to D.C.  WOOOT!  Then, spring break the next month, when I go to Universal Studios, Orlando, Florida, and then the next month is the LAST MONTH OF SCHOOL!!!!!  So yeah, now that you've heard my plans for this year, I should probably move on to another subject.  XD  But, since I can't think of anything besides Hyrule Historia right now, that other subject will have to wait.  Stay tuned, my imaginary "readers".  *sigh*  Until next time.

Happy New Year's!!!

Hey, guys... (or girls... I guess it depends on who is reading this...).  Anyway, happy New Year!  I just created this blog, so I don't have any/many followers yet.  So yes, I decided to make this blog just to share my thoughts and stuff with other people.  So, getting started, this past year has (sadly) been quite a boring year for Zelda-related stuff.  No new games, and NO Zelda announcements at E3.  :'(   However, I did just get a Wii U recently, along with Nintendo Land.  I have to say, it exceeds my expectations (both the Wii U and the game.)  One of my favorite attractions in the game is Battle Quest, the Zelda-themed game.  (In case you don't know, Nintendo Land has 12 different mini-games, each based off of a Nintendo game series.)  It is pretty late at night, or should I say early in the morning, so I'm sorry, but I won't be writing much for my first post.  Stay tuned, though, as I hope to be back ASAP.  Goodbye, for now.       :)
